This collection of shell necklaces are made by hand by the people of Paupua New Guinea. Shells are traditionally revered, seen as denoting wealth and used as currency, as well as being used in ceremonial and celebratory dress.

Each one is unique, using different groups of shells and have been  mounted on a metal and wood stand for display. Also photographed are the Shell money towers, which look perfect in a grouped display with the necklaces.

Approximate sizes are:

large 24cm wide x 41cm high x 7cm deep(at base).

medium 24cm wide x 41cm high x 7cm deep(at base).

small 24cm wide x 41cm high x 7cm deep(at base).
